- Meet with the operating team to obtain a brief for the projects.
- Confirmation of above brief to yourselves, in writing
- Prepare plan layouts of all areas based on architectural wall layouts for discussion and information.
- Prepare itemised budget costs.
- Prepare final plan layouts for your approval and signature.
- Prepare indicative service layouts, including floor drain positioning, plumbing, electrical and gas requirements relating to generic equipment.
- Prepare full specifications for all items including tender documents. These documents are to be issued through the QS and completed tenders shall be returned to the QS.
- Evaluation of tenders and recommendations to the client.
- To meet with the selected tenderers and brief them as to your requirements.
- Check manufacturing progress.
- Monitor progress to program.
- Co-ordinate services with other consultants/contractors.
- Prepare any further revisions which may be required.
- Attend all site and co-ordination meetings, as required.
- Supervise installation.
- Prepare snag lists and supervise de-snagging.
- Commission and hand-over to the client and operator
- Ensure 3 copies of operating manuals and spare parts lists are handed to the client for distribution to the relevant parties.
- Ensure that the tenderer completes training on all items of equipment with the relevant operator staff, in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act No85 of 1993.
